NO DOUG, NO PROBLEM – DOVER RACEWAY, MONDAY AUGUST 6TH!

Author : cmunroe

Circuit racing in Jamaica has seen better days. Unrelated factors have relunctantly conspired to sabotage the grid  which will assemble at Dover Raceway on Monday, August 6th.

I have learnt, however, that each grey cloud is accompanied by a silver lining . As such a glorious opportunity is earmarked for drivers who want to jump on and dominate the big stage.

Truth be told, we have seen rallycross-type ferocity and pace from drivers and machines whose names would not normally wrestle for the headlines.

So, the message needs no interpretation. Doug will not be in the building, but – No Doug, No Problem!

Drivers from the West – Ian Wright, Nicholas ‘Tazz’ Barnes and company will adequately represent in his absence! Do you know Nicholas ‘Tazz’ Barnes? Ask Jamwest about him! Patrons are still talking about the driving clinic he conducted before cheering fans. The ‘donuts’ he baked in front of the main grand stand should still be visible!

Did I mention Ian Wright? He is also a rear wheel drive demon! And to add more fuel to the  West’s flame, a certain, young Gordon will be in the building, squeezing the bejesus out of an Evo X!

As I said – No Doug, No Problem!

Talented drivers are never in short supply at Dover. Champion drivers roam the paddock at Dover. Rising Stars litter the landscape at Dover.

And if you are a fan of the MotoGP-type rockets , an ample supply of 600-1000cc monsters will deliver knee-dragging excitement!

If you are a true fan of the sport, or simply a curious onlooker, grab your independence and forward to Dover Raceway on Monday, August 6th!

If it was not clear earlier, let me remind you – No Doug, No Problem!

Dover Raceway – Monday, August 6th!

  1. The level of ignorance operational here is too destructive for the sport where the differentiation needed to have a clear understanding of the dynamics at play is not understood for someone at this level of administration of motor sport. Jamaicans have to understand the impact of motor sports on tourism receipts.
