Do you own a cell phone? Okay that is truly a question that needs no answer. Everybody seems to own the precious commodity and that does not seem to be ending anytime soon.
In fact you would be more hard pressed to find someone who did not own a cell phone. So here is another question. Which telecommunication provider do you use?
Now that one is a bit more challenging. There are those who remain with a telecommunication provider simply because they are accustomed to that service while others like to follow the crowd.
Regardless of the reasons for their choice, many persons staunchly defend their chosen provider. I have even shared a laugh at how vehemently they passionately defend these entities against unwanted criticism.
I have always said though that healthy competition will only result in benefits for the consumers so while the companies fight over who is the best, consumers will continue to benefit from their various promotions.
One such recently concluded promotion by Digicel, offered customers a chance to win a car and high end phones. It certainly ‘sweetens’ the deal as consumers are attracted by the idea of getting ‘something’ for ‘nothing’. So what’s next for Digicel?
The company announced that on Monday, January 27 beginning at 8 a.m, it will give a US$5 Amazon.com gift card to each of the first 4,000 customers who purchase a qualifying top up online at www.digicelgroup.com
So what does the Amazon website sell?
Practically anything you could ever want is sold on Amazon. They have books, electronics, furniture and much more.
What can you buy on the website for $5?
Well, I know that there are some books that you could now afford to buy if you won the gift card.
A Digicel spokesperson informed media outlets that this was Digicel’s way of showing how much they appreciate the support of their online customers.
I suspect though that this special offer would have certain restrictions such as available only to those who bought credit online. It’s certainly a step in the right direction. It would also be great if customers who buy phone cards from retailers are also given something extra during this time.
So what do you think of the new Digicel promotion?
I say let the consumers continue to win in 2014!

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging

I must say you have done a great job with this. In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Firefox.
Exceptional Blog!
