Now I’m just going to give you a taste of what took place on Saturday night so please don’t get upset if you can’t see your favourites. Keep an eye on the blog and you’re bound to see them appear over the next few days.
So off we go in no particular order…The 5th Element showed a strong casual collection which encapsulated a BOHEMIAN ENERGY with a FRESH twist. Not only did the garments look comfortable to wear but they had an individualistic element that would make anyone that wore a piece stand out in a crowd. Great collection!
The Cloth by Robert Young was an absolutely amazing show. The whole concept from make-up, to hairstyling, to having the audience participate in such a positive thing as writing your wishes for the world onto the actual stage was MIND BLOWING. And I haven’t even started talking about the clothes yet. It was a treat to see almost every colour in the spectrum on the catwalk, but in a very exact, CREATIVE, elegant and stylish way. His use of colour combinations were truly BRILLIANT. This collection has MUST HAVE pieces for everyone. Definitely genius at work.
The return of Sandra Kennedy was well overdue. We were treated to ELEGANT, clean and CRISP LINES that created an aura of sophistication and style. What woman would not want to be seen in these pieces? Truly an easy to wear, STYLISH and feminine collection. Don’t you dare disappear again Sandra … 20 years without seeing talent like yours is far too long. See you at CFW 2009!
One of the Caribbean Fashion Master award winners last night was Meiling. And you couldn’t help but understand why when her collection hit the runway. The ladies filled the catwalk with flowing COLOURFUL fabrics that were combined with gorgeous printed/painted fabrics. While the male combinations consisted of stripes with solids, plaid and/or florals. All of the pieces oozed INDIVIDUALITY, STYLE with a Caribbean flare. Truly a master of fashion in every SENSE.
Haven’t finished with your teaser yet. I’ll be back later with some more eye-catching fashions from Saturday night. So do what you know you should. Log on later and get the scoop and post your comments.
