Hello fashionista’s,
While the London and Milan fashion weeks are still relatively fresh in our minds and before I start blogging about Paris, lets have a little look at what were the most dominant features at the shows. I PROMISE I wont be bias…
Just a quick aside … guess who turns 25 in 2009! Well the ground breaking British Fashion Council is celebrating 25 years. The primary focus of this organisation over the last 25 years has been to promote, support and nurture an extraordinary list of designers … who include Christopher Kane, Marios Schwab and Erdem. Below are some of Erdem’s beautiful and intricate dresses shown at London Fashion Week.

London Fashion Week and the British Fashion Awards also celebrate 25 years in the industry.
There will be a number of activities through-out the year to mark these milestones. I’ll keep you posted.
Happy 25th to you all! Keep on doing what your doing!!!
Now back to the task at hand. As always there were far to many designers that had absolutely fabulous pieces on the catwalk, so following are a few I found interesting.
Luella Bartley’s collection was edgy, wearable, stylish and retro. I loved her use of colour and the cut of the garments. I have to agree with the critics who are calling her style ‘schoolgirl chic’. It was most definitely a strong collection for Luella.

Simple, clean lines were the dominant themes at the Osman Yousefzada show. It was minimalism to a “T”. Definitely an inspirational collection.

PPQ’s collection had jumpsuits, pinafores, cute shirts and smart skirts. It was both elegant and stylish. BUT most importantly IT WAS WEARABLE…

I cannot leave without mentioning a few other collections that were outstanding at London Fashion Week.
A feminine yet very commercial collection was presented by Christopher Kane. Twenty8Twelve designers Savannah and Sienna Miller’s sparkly dresses were “absolutely fabulous”.… (pictured below) And didn’t they look amazing when they came out to take a bow.

Ossie Clark’s 70′s style frocks with masses of billowing gorgeously printed fabrics were delicious. Tres Tres Adorable… Simply LOVED it. Yes I guess I shall always remain a ‘hippy chick’ at heart.
Bora Aksu’s goth and punk inspired collection (picture below) pushed the envelope. For the fashion forward fashionistas who in today’s economic climate want style on a budget there were definitely pieces we can duplicate at home from his runway.

The final mention goes to Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label. The red head is pictured with Red Label enthusiast Jo Wood below. As always this ‘LADY of fashion and style‘ did not fail to please. Her St Trinian inspired collection was wonderful.

Ok…. that’s it I’m stopping right now ladies and gentlemen.
However, I PROMISE fashionista’s if you log on later today you’ll definitely see some amazing snippets from Milan’s Fashion Week.

You know I have my opinions. I’m just waiting for yours.
