A special welcome to all the men out there currently reading this blog with a passion for fashion!
Last night I was duly informed by a group of guys “…. some of us are interested in fashion too ….where do we appear on your blog?”
So today I am featuring catwalk fashions for men. Over the last five years the mens clothing industry has surpassed the womens in terms of growth. You guys are looking.
In my opinion Milan Fashion Week for the 2009-10 Fall/Winter season was disappointing for menswear. We know there is a recession ….. is that why the majority of the shows had models clad in sombre, dark pieces!!!
Only a handful of designers provided us with a glimmer of light. The charge was led by Giorgio Armani, (pictured on the left*)who delivered some amazingly well cut suits. I loved the athletic cut of the pants, (which is great for those men with thighs and a bit of a toosh!!).
Although I wasn’t always excited by the choice of fabrication Dolce & Gabbana’s trousers also looked fab! Rumour in the trade has it that Armani is alleging they stole his trouser block …… Watch this space we’ll keep you posted on developments.
Byblos’ collection was interesting. I liked the textures and layering effect. I am undecided on the headgear, tell me what you think?
Costume Nationals collection was great for the trendy professional.
Versace, well there is only one VERSACE (pictured to the left**) and what was their not to love. The models looked superb in the colours selected and the fit will flatter most men.
I could not leave without mentioning Moschino his accessories were AWESOME! From the bowlers to the ties and gloves, definitely cute.
So what do you think? You agree or disagree let me know your thoughts fashionista’s.
Let me make it easy for you take a look at these videos then give me your thoughts.
