Crazy thing call love

Last week, Orlando Lawrence made the bold move of proposing to his girlfriend Stacy-Lee Cole smack in the middle of Cross Roads, on his knees and all. I don’t think I would want to be proposed to like that, but hey, to each his own. As far as Lawrence was concerned, that was the greatest thing he could do to prove his love to his woman. He must have been pretty confident about the relationship and knew she would have said yes.

Lawrence had a better outcome than a guy I saw on youtube recently who proposed to his girlfriend during half time at an NBA game. He got down on his knees and all with the ring but the poor fellow was turned down. Maybe she wasn’t one for the big spectacle or she just didn’t like him that way. Poor dude looked so distraught standing there alone as his lady love walked out of the stadium. Some of the players couldn’t hide their snickering. Poor love-struck fool.
But that’s the thing with love. They say it’s blind and it makes you do what others would think are very silly things. And in the end, is it all  worth it?
