Fashion Dilemma

Have you ever turned up at an event dressed to puss foot only to see someone else in the same outfit?  We had that discussion on the Desk on Monday, and while it was not a big deal for some, it was a real dilemma for others.

The responses ranged from being very uncomfortable, to avoiding the person, to going home to change.  As women it seem that the first thing that would be in some persons mind is if the other person looks better in the outfit.  But when we are all so fashion conscious, and always want to be in the latest, how easy is it to avoid this? Are the stores to be blamed for stocking too much of the same thing? Or should we just get creative and tweak it making it our own so we wouldn’t have that dilemma. But is it such a big deal? Personally its not for me. I may feel a bit uncomfortable at first but its not like I’m going to spend all night standing next to the person.

What wold you do if you turned up at an event and saw someone else in the same outfit?

What wold you do if you turned up at an event and saw someone else in the same outfit?

So what is really at the heart of this ‘dilemma’. Here are some of the responses.

1. I don’t’ want to look like anyone else

2. People will thing we shop wholesale

3. Don’t want to be in the same thing as someone else especially if is some sketel.

4.The first thing people going to do when they see me wearing the same thing as someone else is compare us I don’t want to be compared to anyone else.

What do you think? What would you do if you turned up at an event to see someone else in the same outfit?
