Stay Local! Support Jamaican attractions!

As I have stated before on this blog it is very important to support our national brand. One of the many things that make Jamaica distinctive is its unbelievable natural attractions.

There is no doubt that some Jamaicans have a vague idea of what is offered but not many have explored staying local as an option.

Recently, I travelled to Portland and enjoyed the facilities at Somerset Falls.

This unique site features several waterfalls which cascade into caves.

It allows the visitor to enjoy the breath taking experience of going through the falls on a boat. If that is too adventurous for you there is also rafting which allows visitors a slower ride on the river.

The natural ambiance of the flora and fauna combined with the birds and rabbits whose cages dotted around the property certainly enhanced the visit.

There are many ways that consumers can benefit from travelling to local attractions. They can take advantage of lower local rates that are offered during slow periods in the tourism season.

The main advantage of staying local is that you are giving back to your country as well as having fun.
