CFW Young Designers – Young, Gifted & From The Region…

Despite the late night I am feeling rested now, and am back to share about CFW’s Young Designers…

The fashion show opened with Ashaki and what oh, oh, oh what a way to open. SULTRY, sexy swimwear for him and her were served up. The colours were strong and the prints POWERFUL (prints featured strongly in the collection).

Lamaica followed with a collection that had amazing fabrics and colours that showed extremely well on the runway. This truly stylish collection featured great pieces for men and women.

3rd Revolt were next on the catwalk. There collection was EDGY, urban wear. It was UNIQUE as the pieces were personalised. The embellishments and finishing of the t-shirts were first class. Great stuff 3rd Revolt!

BoUik’s collection began with an extremely dramatic opening. It opened with dancers dropping the latest dancehall moves that I can only dream about doing. The collection was FRESH and FUNKY. I’m sure we’ll be seeing them at CFW 2009.

Divine Ideas closed the session. This collection featured a variety of pieces with very strong Afro Caribbean cultural references. The collection was SEXY and STRONG. What a combination!

All of the collections showed couples how to co-ordinate while putting your own individual twist on a look. What a great start to a long night. I am really looking forward to Caribbean Masters…

Let me know your thoughts on the show. Just leave your comments on the blog and I’ll be in touch.

Lata fashionistas…
