LFW Designers Reflect All Shapes & Cultures

Hi fashionistas,

Over the last few days I have been focused on London Fashion Week (LFW) S/S 2011, day and night, hence the caffeine overload  ;) .  The collections have been mainly outstanding with only a few disappointments. But today I want to mention two positive things that I have noticed on the LFW runways.

Larger models have been seen in many shows, not just the usual like Mark Fast , but Caroline Charles, Body Amr and many more. I’m loving the fact that real women shapes are being represented on the runways and that the pieces still look amazing – not a compromise.

The culturally diverse world that we live in has definitely been represented at LFW S/S 2011. Its so refreshing to see so many nationalities on the catwalk. One of which was one of our faves - yes Jamaica’s Shena Moulton. She walked for Antonio Berardi and Jaeger.  Here she is looking fabulous (below) in an Antonio Berardi  piece. I’ve been tweeting up a storm for LFW S/S 2011 and will be posting  reviews here shortly :) .  You can find me at www.twitter.com/qvdesigns.

What have been your favourite collections?

See you online soon fashionistas

How did LFW..compare, with CFW? In terms of styles, designs..and overall fabness??

Well Shena was on LFW so it was obviously better than CFW. LOL biased comment there but seriously did CFW happen this year? I think however flopped LFW might have been (not saying it did cuz Saint models don’t do flop shows) it still did better than CFW.

There was no hype around CFW, nothing new added to the shows, no different perspectives from the models or the organizers, hardly any media coverage afterwards, NOTHING! So that’s why I asked if it really happened. Style Week by Saint International now was the talk of the town. People in Mobay can’t wait for Fashion Block Mobay! Media killed that event.

Damn! Did you see the Men’s Collection at Devon House??? THe models were walking out of the house and onto the runway! Courtney Campbell and Deiwght Peters were awesome as MCs… that show was awesome! check out the blogs and pics of the wicked set-ups on our blog….
