Is “Michelle O’s” fashion “too forward” for the White House?

A momentous night and a momentous dress.

No doubt you like me have been following the ups, downs, twists and turns in relation to Michelle Obama’s election night dress. Well the drama continues.

I think this fashionista took a risk that night, but that’s just what we do…Right ladies! Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.  Although the dress is not up to her usual impeccable standard… it does work. OK let me rephrase that.

After having a drink recently with a friend who has a contrary point of view with some valid points, I would like to say  …. her impeccable taste since she started campaigning for  the White House.

I feel the black satin criss cross detail at the waist area, which breaks up the red on the dress, adds a whole different texture and dimension to the dress.

The modifications made to it I feel make the dress more age appropriate and suitable for this historical occasion.

This may not be the best look for Michelle.  Undoubtedly we have seen more impressive looks over the previous months BUT I still think it deserves a thumbs up!

So fashionista’s what’s your opinion? Is this fashion statement by Michelle a hit or a miss?

Keep watching this blog as we keep watching the First Lady of fashion.
