Inauguration Special – Will all eyes be on the gown or Barack?

Well tomorrow is the day we’ve all been talking about.

Barack Obama’s inauguration will be an  historic  moment! I will be  glued to my TV screen for the majority of the day for a number of reasons, to be part of this  momentous occasion, Barack Obama’s speech, and of course I want to see what Michelle Obama is wearing …lol…

On my daily travels through everything online that relates to fashion, beauty, lifestyle need I go on…  I noticed a piece in WWD (Women’s Wear Daily).

More than 40 gown designs (click link for slide show) have been created for the Obama’s by a potpourri of designers.

I have too many favourites so here’s a few that definitely make a fashionista statement!

As you can see Caroline Herrera’s one shoulder gown and Marc Jacobs dual tone gown both are classic and extremely elegant.

Michael Kor’s single shoulder gown oozes simplicity and style, while Betsey Johnson’s gown is fun and frivolous. Love Betsey’s notations on her sketch don’t you?

I had to put one in of Michelle and the girls don’t they all look fabulous in this Oscar de la Renta creation. Perfect… perfect… perfect.
