Fashion forward or fashion disasters? – Paris 2009

Dear Fashionista’s

Here is a taste of the more fashion forward pieces from Paris Fashion week.

I think in this case pictures definitely speak louder than words.

So let me have your thoughts on these treasures ladies and gentlemen. Are they fashion forward or fashion disasters?

The first picture is from the amazing design house Givenchy.  The Haute Couture 2009 collection* – as you know I am EXTREMELY fashion forward, so if you see me at a function in a veil it doesn’t mean I’m attending a wedding or funeral…

The second image is from one of my favourite designers Jean Paul Gaultier.  He is know in the industry for being tres, tres fashion forward and it is reflected  in his  Haute Couture 2009 collection.**

My only criticism is that I am not sure the slim, trendy or curvy fashionista’s amongst us, would want  to add another 10lbs to our frame.

Would you say he’s too sexy for those STRIPES? Yes that’s a lot of stripes for any man. I would love to ask the designer Henrik Vibskov what was his inspiration for this Autumn/Winter 2009-10 collection.^^

Now I have something only for the very bold male fashionista’s amongst us.  Fransisco Van Benthum’s Autumn/Winter 2009-10 collection^ shows how a man can wear a skirt..  It will only be a matter of time before we see Beckham in this!!!

In a few days I will be reviewing the collections and trends revealed at all of the fashion weeks to date.. so keep on watching and of course commenting.
