The Jon and Kate Drama

I used to be a big fan of TLC’s reality show Jon and Kate plus 8. But from the beginning I never liked Kate.

The show which chronicles the lives of the couple Kate and Jon Gosselin and their children; twins Cara and Madelyn; and sextuplets, Colin, Aaden,  Joel, Alexis, Hannah and Leah. The show is in its fifth season.
I think I watched it for the most part for them. The sextuplets are just the cutest children I have ever seen. Don’t even get me started on their cute baby talk.
Having two set of multiples must be hard on anyone but Kate takes it to another level; she is just  too miserable.
She is a germaphobe who must have every surface not only cleaned but cleaned in the manner she stipulates. She freaks out over every spill or item out of place. Fine you can chuck that up to her trying to organise an obviously potentially chaotic life, but why treat your husband that way? How unfortunate to be married to such a woman. She treats him like he’s one of the children, shouting at him in public, bullying him to help her and she hardly shows affection.
The poor man has no fun, except when he’s playing with the children and then she shouts at him to stop and help her with something or the other.
We are not saying he shouldn’t help but she is more like a bully and a host of other things.
Now they are in the middle of a scandal. It’s alleged that Jon cheated on Kate and vice versa. That has resulted in an even more temperamental Kate and a relationship on the brink of divorce.
With this whole drama I feel no sympathy for her. I feel sorry for the children.
I think Jon honestly wants to go back to his quiet life but no, she thinks the only way to provide for her children is to do the reality show. Go get a job. Jon had one that he quit to stay home and help her with the kids. She can continue writing books and let Jon go back to work and that will bring in the money. Doesn’t she see that ‘fame’ is destroying her marriage? It has already destroyed her personality.
I only watched the first episode of the new season and that’s it. I know a lot of my friends who have also stopped watching.
This woman makes the decisions in the family. Jon has always been a quiet, easy going fellow and so she rules everything. I don’t think he cheated I think he just needed a break. The whole family should take a break. Fame has its cost and apparently it has cost another marriage.

It is sad, but I hope they can work things out.

I totally agree with you on your view of kate and the show. no wonder the poor man sought love from another woman. I don’t totally agree with cheating but when two people are grossly incompatible they should split

As a matter of fact, no one thinks about the children and the effects of their actions on them. This is a reality TV show, who knows what is behind the things that happen.
