One size fits all! How often have we realized that though unfortunately one size does not always fit everyone’s shape. This is true of many things in life, and not only the clothes we wear. Often when persons buy insurance, whether for their car, personal or home, they have to remember that one size does not fit all.
Insurance – Do we really need it?
Persons might not see the necessity of personal insurance and as a result it is last on their to do list. However, the irony of insurance is that you never realize it’s important until you need it. Of course, if you wait until you need it, then by then it’s too late.
Life is filled with uncertainties, it is best to plan ahead for the times when you will need those extra funds. Some insurance policies also have investment options. This means after a few years the policy matures, these investment policies allow you to access some of the funds for emergencies.
Putting aside money for an insurance payment can seem painful, especially at this time. No one wants to think about being in a car accident, experiencing a break in, losing everything in an apartment fire, or any other sort of bad, unexpected event. But these things can happen, so you’ll want to be prepared. Imagine how much worse these crises would be without the additional financial cushion of an insurance policy!
What is the perfect fit for you?
Before purchasing life insurance, you will want to consider cost, coverage and duration to find the perfect fit. You know your budget so it it’s important that you find coverage that fits in with what you can afford. If policies lapse because of non payment, that means all the money you paid before has gone down the drain. In order to avoid this, choose a policy that you can easily keep up with payments.
It is important to be aware though that insurance with the lowest price tag might not provide total coverage. This means you might see less financial benefit when it comes time to file a claim.
Ask your insurance agent if there are any discounts on your coverage. Often, carriers offer discounts for things like paying your policy in full or staying auto accident-free. You also can save money by “bundling” multiple policies, such as purchasing a home and auto policy from the same carrier. There are also short term policies if you are not sure you can afford long term plans due to your current cash flow.
So what’s your take how do you find your perfect fit? Let me hear from you!
