It’s not easy to find the perfect outfit, only to have to walk away because of the price. Consumers face numerous challenges as they have to decide between purchasing vital items or getting something they would like but don’t really need.
It is especially frustrating to get quality clothing for a fair price. This summer a number of children have signed on for summer school. These summer classes require that students wear casual clothes suitable for the occasion.
As a parent, it was with a sinking heart that I decided to go shopping so that my children would have some new clothes for their classes. Imagine my surprise when I was able to spend only $2600.00 (before tax) on one pair of sneakers, two shirts and a blouse and shorts set.
The best buy in my opinion was the pair of sneakers which only cost $1500.00. The two polo shirts cost only $250.00 each while the blouse and short set cost $600.00. The reason I was able to afford all the items was the 15 %- 50% sale currently on at Ammar’s located on Constant Spring Road.
I love summer deals as the sales are offered in an effort to attract consumers and boost an otherwise slow season. It is important to note though that not all deals are created equal and consumers must check the quality of the item as they are often old stock and can be damaged or shop worn.
There is also a sale currently being offered at Child’s Play, located in the Mall Plaza. The discount there ranges from 15% -30%. I liked the range of items on sale which also included some brand name clothing such as Gap Kids.
Most sales are prominently displayed in the store window and it pays to just walk or drive around and try to get the best value for your money!
What sales have you seen? Drop me a line to let me know!
