Enjoying a vacation while on a budget!

Everyone loves vacation days. I am one of those  people who eagerly strike the days off the calendar as I count down to vacation.

Even if the days are not very many, there is still much anticipation as the year winds to a close.

Those of us who are struggling with our heavy financial obligations are feeling the pinch of trying to have a vacation and still be able to survive financially as we move nearer to another year.

After all the shopping, the new outfits and hair styles there is limited funds available to the average consumer to even consider going on vacation.

Vacation on a budget!

The most important thing to remember when planning a vacation is to start early. The dates for vacation are unfortunately sometimes the most expensive as hotels are operating at full capacity as it is their peak  season.

So it might be a good idea to research guest houses off the beaten path instead of the more up scale hotels.

If you have friends or family who would be willing to give you that hotel ‘experience’ by providing accommodation then that would certainly be a more affordable option.

It is also good idea to scout around before you book your vacation.  A number of places have special offers to selected  groups.

If your budget is so tight that going on any trip is out of reach, well that does not mean you can’t enjoy a great vacation.

Pick the movies that you always wanted to watch but never had the time and indulge yourself.

There are many local attractions that can be visited in a day trip. So join up with a few friends or family members who can hopefully chip in with gas money and take a packed lunch and enjoy the sights.
