I am sure I caught your attention with that headline. Just relax there are no ‘leaks’ just my secrets for staying within a budget.
Every household has a budget but not everybody is able to stick to it.
One thing that has helped me is to pay all the important bills first then if unexpected expenses arise I will have peace of mind.
A note of thanks is in order from my pocket to Jamaica Public Service (JPS) for the announcement of lower electricity bills in the near future.
Of course, one thing I always look out for are discounts and sale days. Some supermarkets also have discount cards that allow you to accumulate points when you use them which you can then use for other items.
I hope that one day we will arrive at the stage where supermarkets allow their customers to benefit from a wider variety of discounts.
Until then what do you do to keep within your budget?

So what is the secret Terry, my dear?
Just my secret of how to stay within your budget!
As I said in one of my comments, people have to bring themselves back to the days when they did not have much but they were able to let what they have stretch, and they survive!..
I understand that so one status rises they tend to show it off by living large!.. but there is no shame in cutting back when times are tuft.
One have to take finances just like how they take their health, one day you are strong and healthy and the next day you are sick and weak. that’s how your finances should be treated!.. meaning that you should at all times try your best to keep your finance healthy and if there are things you have to do to make it happen then do it such as cutting back on some things that are not needed!.
It is simple really, live within your means. And yes you can. There are people earning less than half of what you earn and they are still alive. No point in borrowing…your expenses will just be higher next month…when the interest is added. Learn to distinquish between wants and neededs. Make breakfast and home, take lunch to work…you can controll what you eat and how much of it you eat. Stop keeping up with the Jones and set your own priorities. Remember you already have enough clothes in your wardrobe to last a lifetime if you maintain your weight.
