How much do you spend at the supermarket each week?
Is it $4000 or more? Well if you have children that number could double especially when they are home for the holidays. Not to mention the extra costs associated with younger children such as diapers, wipes and baby formula.
So when you are strapped for cash how do you provide your family with all they need?
I have found that buying groceries in bulk can not only reduce your trips to the supermarket but your monthly shopping bill. For example, buying a case of your child’s favourite drink works out to be cheaper than purchasing individual packages.
Be careful though, as not every item should be bought in bulk. I have found that certain items such as vegetables and fruits, often don’t need to be bought in bulk as they spoil easily. There are many other items that are suitable for bulk purchases such as: tinned foods, snacks, flour, rice, sugar and various meats.
Buying in bulk has become easier as there is a wide variety of wholesales to choose.
Regardless of where you shop, remember shop in bulk and save!
