If you are like me, often you simply purchase appliances based on brand names and/or the price tag. I learnt the hard way that there are many other things to consider when considering what type of appliance to buy. Let me share some tips with you that I picked up along the way.
Guide to Buying Refrigerators
- Consider the space you have available in terms of metres, feet and inches (in other words make sure it fits)
- Select colour and style that complement your kitchen decor.
- If you rely heavily on frozen foods ensure that there is adequate space in the freezer compartment.
Guide to Buying a Stove
- Choose a stove with the size of your family in mind and the amount of baking and cooking you do.
- Consider the installation cost and ensure there is a warranty so that if you are not satisfied with it, you can get a replacement
- Check for durability and features such as electronic ignition, oven light and self clean which make cooking easier.
Hope the tips above were helpful. Next time I will outline tips for buying washing machines and microwaves. Let me hear from you! How do you choose your appliances?
