Circuit Racing: Independence of Speed – Part II

There is no denying this fact – Doug Gore’s ex-DTM Audi is a stunning race car!

We expected fireworks at Round 1 when the Audi made its debut. We got it. But while David Summerbell’s camp celebrated, Doug and ATL Racing were finding their insipid dish of reality difficult to digest. Round 2 saw an improved Audi, but an outright and convincing victory (with neither machine experiencing mechanical issues),  is still beyond reach. The unavoidable question which rears its potentially embarrassing head is -

Can Doug Gore and the Audi beat David Summerbell Jr and TA1?

It was reported elsewhere, that rear wheel drive maestro, Alan Chen, has acquired the Honda S2000 powered, sequential gear shift motivated-Toyota Starlet, formerly owned by Gary Williams. Will we see more entertaining slideways action from Alan?

Round 3, on Sunday August 7th, will provide more than enough answers.
