Rallying: Appreciating the inherent attributes of a Subaru Impreza

Author : cmunroe

Jamaica, despite what prevails on the economic front, maintains a vibrant motorsports community. As such, if a machine is dominant on the world stage and has Japanese parentage, it will definitely have a home here.

We love performance machines and if it was not evident before, the display at the waterfront on Sunday, December 4, at Rally Jamaica’s Festival of Speed, should have served as conclusive evidence supporting that fact.

Rally Jamaica 2011 dealt a minor blow to local pride, in light of the fact that the trophy has left our shores. But, the Jamaican connection still exists in the winning team John Powell/Nicholas Telfer, so all was not lost.

Their machine, a Subaru Impreza WRC has a heritage that is littered with victories and has delivered without reservations, pleasure in abundance, to spectators loyal to the rally faith, on stages all over the world.

The argument will never depart re- which rally machine is the best etc. But what cannot be denied is this, in the hands of a more than competent pilot the machine (Subaru Impreza WRC) is an orgasmic avalanche!

Watch and tell me if you agree.
