Likkle T goes circuit racing!

If you own a Honda, if you are a regular at drag racing events or, if you are interested in modifying your Honda, you should know the name ‘Likkle T’. If you don’t, then this is your introduction. Oniel ‘Likkle T’ Henry, will be the first to tell you that he has always loved fast cars, but his involvement in racing began after a friend told him about racing at Vernamfield. Through experimenting on his own cars and using the available manuals, Likkle T fine-tuned his craft and has developed an envied reputation as a builder of very powerful Hondas.

First Race Car

It is always suggested that actions speak louder than words and Likkle T allows his work to speak for him. His first race car was an EG Honda Civic with force-fed power. The motor was crammed with over 400 horses and they allowed Likkle T to make his presence known on the drag strip in no uncertain terms. With an eager turbo and a little assistance from Nitrous Oxide, Likkle T achieved the milestone for many drag racers – 10 seconds passes on the quarter mile!

Circuit Car

Now that racing has ceased at Vernamfield there has been a little lull in drag racing, with the events now few and far apart. This gave Likkle T too much free time and out of this came the latest project – a circuit car. Staying true to his make of choice (Honda), Likkle T built another race car (no he did not convert the drag car to a circuit car). Still using the preferred EG body style, another powerhouse was born. Likkle T loves big power and so he built another B16A motor, packing similar horsepower numbers to the drag car. This time around he brought a well known, local Honda tuner on board, Mark ‘Chungie’ Chong. Together they built and tuned the car and decided that they would share driver duties at Dover Raceway. Likkle T suggests that he wants to take one step at a time inorder to master circuit racing and as such he entered the IP 45 class to gain experience. Chungie on the other hand, tested the waters by entering the quicker IP37 class.

car02As I watched the car on the track at Dover, it was abundantly clear that Likkle T built a very powerful and competitive car. This was evident as both drivers (Likkle T and Chungie) would easily overtake several cars on the straight sections of the track.

Likkle T has made his mark in drag racing and based on the performance of his current car, it is only a matter of time before he does the same on the circuit.

Likkle T, a die-hard Honda enthusiast is quick to point out that his achievements would not be possible without the assistance and continued support of his fans, his family and the Team members who are usually present at the facility he operates off Old Harbour Rd – Bigga, Biggie B, Soljie and Stacy.

Do not for one minute think that Likkle T is through with drag racing. As a matter of fact he is preparing an even more powerful machine that should send the competition packing!
