Who is the 2014 driver of the year?

If someone told me 11 months ago that 2014 would blow by faster than the WASC PulStar, I would suggest, aggressively that the individual was grossly mistaken. But reality would prove me wrong! 2014 was a blur! 2015 is now mere moments from the start-finish straight.

But, before we pop the champagne and drink ourselves silly – responsibly – we have relevant, unfinished business. In 2014 we consumed pleasurable portions of speed from various genres of motorsports, locally and at the international level. We continue to exist in a global village and as such my question will have 2 answers – 1 local and 1 international driver.

Who do you regard as the 2014 driver of the year?
