Drag Racing: Dean Shaw silenced? Part 1

BadBreed Racecraft was offered a chance to assimilate. But, they were young, independent- minded, insolent and extremely stubborn. I can recall standing and hearing remarks being made to the effect that all they had to do was “check mi” and their irascible donkey would be transformed into a docile, but hopefully, still a winning beast.

Like teenagers, they remained steadfast. Though perceived to be blind, they did not accept wisdom from a potential competitor, who was offering willingly, but instead chose to consult those who they knew had their interest at heart. At no stage did they lose sight of their decade long pursuit. They accepted their difficult task,  embarked on their odyssey of speed and relied on the strength of their small, militant band.

To state that they have exceeded their initial goals would be the understatement of the year! Their performance in 2014 raised the speed-bar to record levels, a level which they have maintained. The now glorified ‘Red Donkey’ which was once wayward as it chased the finish-line, will annihilate any arrow in a straight-line contest! And each time the machine visits the ‘tree’ a frightening and blistering mark is expected. Consistency achieved!

On Sunday, at Drag Challenge #2 a scrumptious dessert was served. It was labelled – Humble Pie!
