The battles fought at Dover Raceway recently will be transferred to the Coliseum of Speed – Jamwest Speedway. At Dover, Kyle Gregg was victorious in one of three bouts. He has a lot to prove. He will encounter additional obstacles as insurgents from Trinidad, Cayman, Barbados and Guyana pursue glory. Stalwarts, David Summerbell Jr, Doug Gore, Peter Rae and others will be in the building flying the Jamaican flag. As such we anticipate a clean sweep! Should we expect anything else?

QUOTE- Why is nothing been done to insure the Caribbean Ex Patriots group are able to race in this year’s CMRC starting in Jamaica in a couple weeks time? What is of more immediate concern is that this group of five calling themselves “Ex Pats” are enduring endless opposition and needless bureaucratic red tape to bring their cars to race in this year’s CMRC.

These are a group of dedicated people that have gone out of their way and spent a considerable amount of money to buy and prepare their cars to conform to our rules and regulations, but are getting the cold shoulder from Clubs around the region. It has reached the stage that only yesterday one of the eager five sent a letter to the group leader expressing his frustration at the amount of red tape and opting out of the entire exercise. Now these are our West Indian brothers living abroad who all they want to do is to return home and entertain their Caribbean brothers.

The team as comprises a Mazda Miata fitted with V6 engine, two E4 BMW’s, A Honda s2000 and a Z4 Supercharged BMW. Jamwest will be missing the level of excitement that would promote real interest in the circuit racing development at the fastest track in the Caribbean.
