FORMULA 1: HAMILTON – BRUTAL IN GERMANY!

Author : cmunroe

Rosberg, based on recent events was under extreme pressure to soar at his home GP. Qualifying told the tale that he expected. He sped to pole with his teammate clinging to his ankle!

It was stated that Hamilton, in a bid to ensure a bank robber’s getaway, spent time practising his start routine ahead of the Hungary GP. We saw a lightning start then and apparently the lessons learnt are still paying dividends!

When the red lights went elsewhere, signalling the start of the German GP, Hamilton and the dynamic Red Bull duo were wide awake and locked on Turn 1!

Rosberg did not have a swig of Red Bull before going to the grid so he was wide asleep! When his slumber ended he was trapped in a web created by a rapidly escaping Hamilton, a determined Ricciardo and an overly  ambitious Verstappen!

ROSBERG

Formula 1, at times is a victim of its own supremacy. Overtaking, at times is a monumental challenge and for myriad reasons there was simply no machine fit to catch the fleeing Englishman – Hamilton. Rosberg, must be commended, however. He did not dive into dejection’s pool.

Instead he made a valiant fight to reverse his plight, but, possibly blinded by rapidly colliding thoughts, he chose what the stewards decided was inappropriate behaviour, while completing a pass on Verstappen. The subsequent penalty secured his exclusion from the podium.

ROSBERG’S BRAIN FADE?

Hamilton saw no worthy opposition in Germany. The red carpet was rolled out and he gladly walked victoriously to P1 and celebrated with a trophy flung-high moment!

The summer break has arrived. The season is far from over. Rosberg has more on his plate than that which is available at an all you can eat buffet! Will he fade or will he show resilience and rekindle the fire he brought in the early rounds?

Red Bull has emerged as the dominant force, battling Mercedes AMG. Having secured P2 and P3 in in Mercedes’ living room, the team (Red Bull) must be feeling good about their fortunes.

Ferrari has faded dramatically. It was not foreseen but heads might roll!

The defending World Champion, Lewis Hamilton, extends the lead he confiscated in Hungary. He is positioning himself for greatness. We have interesting times ahead!
