Uncanny now, that features of life that we thought were necessary and vital to support a sane existence, have been absent for a protracted period and as the saying goes – life goes on. Obviously, motorsport is excluded. Yes, I am biased.

If the mutterings and pronouncements are accurate, engines will soar until they redline, possibly in July. Our fingers and toes are currently interlocked.

There is abundant evidence to suggest that even after ‘Rona packs her bags and grabs the exit, we will still be compelled to deal with the glaring, indelible scars her narcissistic and selfish rampage will leave behind.

But, where there is a will there is a way and like a sky-kissing edifice, we will rise and be the best versions of ourselves.

When we think or speak about explosive ogres of speed, a Toyota Corolla would only enter the conversation through an unlocked back door, for example, if someone mentioned what they drove to the track.
