Lorenzo may breathe a bit easier now, but not for long. The howling wolves await him and each time he blinks he is attacked. Casey Stoner will be aiming for successive wins. Dovizioso (Repsol Honda) has Honda’s pride on his shoulders. Take my word for it – the GP of Japan on Sunday (3rd) will be like all the others before it – exhilarating!
The five sentences above were taken from the blog – The Grand Prix of Japan (1/10/2010). I was not far from the mark. Tropical storm Nicole went overboard with the concept ‘showers of blessing’ and instead produced a two day deluge which left our tropical paradise feeling like a wet sponge. Excess knows no moderation, so we are still grappling with the recovery effort, inherited from determined clouds which released their crystal bounty.
My more than vital cable supply, reaped a harvest of interruption. I was isolated from all things motor inspired that SPEEDTV provides. Funny how a few days without your ‘fix’ can leave you feeling as depressed as a CashPlus investor!
Stoner
Casey Stoner – 1st, Andrea Dovizioso – 2nd and Valentino Rossi -3rd. If I was a betting man chances are I would be cruising on the French Riviera! On Sunday, thanks to race reports and Youtube, I learnt that Casey Stoner rode to successive wins at Motegi. Dovizioso accepted his burden after Pedrosa’s crash on Friday and made his employer, Honda, proud at home. Valentino ‘the Doctor’ Rossi reminded fans of his unique abilities, with a fairing-banging, abusive encounter with Lorenzo – a fight which was said in one of the reports, to be ‘exhilarating’ (my final word in the blog of Oct. 1). My excitement as I read the reports and watched a few seconds of the race was unconcealed.
The Shell Advance Malaysian Motorcycle GP is on this weekend. I am praying that we are not terrorized by another weather extremist!
