Impactful People & Trends In 2009

Hi there fashionista’s without any delay lets continue with our mini reiew of 2010.

I think you’d all agree we have been watching, this Caribbean favourite, Rihanna throughout 2009.  Whether you love her or hate her “Rhi Rhi’s”, stylin’s were on the lips of the masses.

Whatever her issues and challenges have been during 2009, she has still been a style inspiration with her distinctive fashion looks, (including faux pas, see Miss picture below).  Her hair cuts have  been worn by many ladies some well and not so well throughout the year.   I’m sure you will join me in wishing this “Bajan”  beauty a fabulous, stressfree, stylish 2010!

If she launches her fashion line this year I will most definitely write about it.

Coloured streaks in hair were huge during 2009.   We saw them firstly on the runway at the Proenza show.  But, without a doubt it has now crossed over successfully to celebrity and street style.

Trinidadian designer Claudia Pegus had an amazing 2009.

This delightfully provocative designer treated us to some fabulous collections at Caribbean Fashion Week (CFW) and Trinidad Fashion Week.

The designer was presented with the Best Female Designer Award at CFW and Best Trinidadian Designer Award during 2009.  We’re expecting more amazingly fab things from Claudia during 2010!!!!

Lets have your comments ‘girlz and boyz’.

Log on Wednesday for something delicious to discuss.

I’m outta here.

    rihanna is AWESOME!

  2. I like both fashions, but I’m white so it’s obviously easier for me to “pull off” the preppy look. What I’m looking for is ways to incorporate more hip-hop fashion into it. I’ve been able to take one step with my choice in sneakers. Any suggestions?
