As promised here is the rest of Saturday night’s teaser… I’ve got my black Americano to my right, so I’m good to go. Some things may not be here now but I am working hard for you to get your fill of pictures and videos over the next few days. So let’s continue in no particular order.
The Mushroom treated us to a DARING, SEXY and co-coordinated swimwear collection for both men and women. This Jamaican mother and son team Brigid & Jason Lawson hit the runway with animal prints, exotic colour combinations and amazing fabric textures. The collection had a FUN, Afro-Caribbean vibe.
Loved it … great work!
The figure hugging, FEMININE but sexy collection of Poshe were fabulous. The audience was treated to an array of hot cerise’s combined with black, silver and white. This SOPHISTICATED, elegant collection had so many ‘MUST HAVES’. The outfit in the picture below has encouraged me to keep up my new regime with my personal trainer, so it looks as good on me….well I can only hope!
Remember, in an earlier report that I’d be seeing Yahuda on the runway well I did that night. As you can see in the pictures Yahuda allows you to wear your bag! Such creativity… It can be worn as a dress or a belt in solids and AMAZING prints. They also showcased their AFRICAN INSPIRED oversized earrings, bangles and necklaces made primarily from metal and natural elements. The 700 bead necklace also graced the catwalk in a variety of locations on the body. Great and beautiful stuff!
Ok my last teaser for you is Yardmanstyle. This collection consisted of comfortable, trendy, URBAN wear with STRONG graphics and images that related specifically to the Caribbean and Rastafarian cultures. Colours ranged from black and white to red, green and yellow. Truly an ETHNOCENTRIC & EDGY collection.
Tonight Eve, Vanessa Williams, Mashonda, Shereeene Anderson, Lady Saw and Lee Scratch Perry… were in attendance. CFW continues to attract “nuff” celebs…
I’ll have some treats from Sunday for you guys so log on later and get the scoop.
