Inaugural Special: Did you like the gown?

Hi fashionista’s

For the first time ever the girls and I agreed Michelle Obama’s gown was not the best choice. This evening gown did not knock the ball out of the park.  Not like today’s Toledo choice!!!

Once we reached a consensus I knew the gown was in trouble.

As you can see the gown is a white full skirted single shoulder piece. The fabric is lush and dazzling – we LOVE it. But what we don’t love is the cut.

We all know the First Lady ‘Michelle O’ has a rocking shape… However, the silhouette of the dress teamed with that unattractive broad strap does not flatter her at all… at all… at all.

The gown is awkward and we could all see it posed a problem for the First Lady to dance and walk in. But didn’t they look great on the dance floor. This President definitely has rhythm.

Having said all of the above the gown designed by Jason Wu, 26, is still an incredible feat. This Taiwanese, Parsons School of Fashion graduate is definitely now a sought after designer. Michelle Obama has worn one of his pieces before and no doubt will be wearing more in the future.

Basically were giving the piece a ‘timid’ thumbs up. Why you may ask? Well it’s because Michelle could wear a sheet and still look fabulous.  Today we saw a  gorgeous First Lady in a mediocre gown.  Sorry Jason!
