Well it certainly wasn’t long in coming! Digicel has fired back at their competitor, LIME by lowering their rates to $2.89 per minute.
This is not a surprise. After all healthy competition equals more in consumers’ pockets. If there had been only one telecommunication company consumers would not now be benefiting from such attractive rate packages.
So how have consumers been enjoying the lowered rates? Well many loyal Digicel and Lime customers continue to sing the praises of their respective companies. However,sometimes when things are too good there is always a doubt that there might be glitches along the way.
Some persons I spoke to said that there were having a problem with the new rates.
Before the new rates they were able to make quick calls even with balances as low as $2. Now however, if the balance is not high enough there are given recordings saying the call can’t be completed.
Some have also complained that if they called a number and got voice mail they were charged more than before. So how do you feel about the new rates?
