On November 25, 2010 Americans celebrate Thanksgiving Day. It got me thinking of us here in Jamaica. True we were never Pilgrims escaping persecution but no one can deny it has been a rough year.
Financially we staggered under the heavy burden of the recession which led to price increases and job cuts. Despite it all as the year draws to a close we do have reasons to be thankful.
We were spared the wrath of Tomas and received some funds from international bodies to rebuild our infrastructure. True we have a long way to go but I am thankful that we survived another year more or less intact.
What are you thankful for?
