I travel on the Washington Boulevard everyday on my way to work. Now, I am all for progress but I have some concern for the pedestrians.
I have personally seen children and adults alike navigate the treacherous area almost sharing the road with the cars.
So what’s the solution? Well until the road works are completed maybe there could be a temporary rail system that would give some protection for pedestrians.
It is also very clear to the layman that the conversion from two to six lanes seems to cut out some of the access to businesses located along that road.
Those businesses affected are faced with the hard choice of temporary closure or relocation.
What do you think about the road works being done? Let me know!
