Once again consumers prepare to hold on for the roller coaster ride that is the budget.
Allocating the funds seems like a balancing act with very little effort it could all come tumbling down.
We are told the sweetest of phrases, “No new taxes”.
I wonder though if we should feel too complacent. It has been proved time and time again that promises can be broken. Amid all the speculation of re-evaluating the budget I hope that the consumers are not the ones to bear the brunt of it.
So are you feeling the heat from the budget? Do you think there will be any new taxes?
Let me know your thoughts!

Excellent post, thanks. The blog just got a new permanent visitor.
the parking fees at the NW Manley airport went up by 50%. No new direct tax perhaps, but certainly a hike in indirect ones.
Is anyone awraxes are collected from registered returning residents to JA
especially if they plan to start a little business? Yes ey are ask to guesstmat how much they will make and put it on the tax application, satisfy NHT, HEART & IR to be
issued clearance. No new tax is needed, the govt both needs to spend tax dollars on roads, schools &healthcare, not on themselves taking worldwide vacations in the name of business
Great post. This was just what I needed.
On the surface there will be no new direct taxes, but I can assure you there will be new taxes in other form, so his statement is not entirely honest and truthful.
Well Bob we will be watching and listening to see what happens next!
