7 Ways to save money on your Credit Card bill

Author : teriann
Okay I know what you are thinking how can you save money if you have to pay a huge bill every month? Sometimes those charges accumulate until your bill begins to resemble a map for the way to debt.
In order to save money you only have to adopt the following seven guidelines that will result in money staying where it should, in your pocket of course!
These money saving tips are:
  1. Always try to pay your bill on time. (I know this is not easy but it helps to avoid late fees)
  2. Keep track of the balance on the card.
  3. Avoid using credit cards for cash withdrawals from A.T.M’s as this often attracts a fee.
  4. Although the card has a set limit it is not necessary to spend that amount every month.
  5. Avoid unnecessary purchases ( stick to essentials)
  6. Call your creditors (often a good record can encourage a shift in due dates so that it falls after pay day).
  7. Pay more than the minimum payment each month.

Well those are my tips. How do you save money? Let me hear from you.

I live within my means, I don’t use credit cards!
And if I was to get one , the amount would have to be very substantial that I could use it to make money with it so I don’t just become another credit slave but a smart debtor!..

Well Bob credit cards can be helpful in managing debt if they are used properly but it is a personal decision whether or not to get one.

Thanks for the suggestions about credit repair on this excellent site. Some tips i would tell people is always to give up the particular mentality they will buy now and fork out later. Like a society most of us tend to try this for many things. This includes getaways, furniture, in addition to items we want. However, you must separate your current wants out of the needs. While you’re working to raise your credit ranking score you really have to make some trade-offs. For example you are able to shop online to save cash or you can check out second hand outlets instead of costly department stores to get clothing.

Shop around for credit cards if you decide to get one. Some credit cards have rewards like cash back or a chance to earn air miles. Interest rates also vary from bank to bank.
