Restaurant Week – A Consumer’s Dream!

Author : teriann

As consumers tried to cut back on their spending, eating out became one of the luxuries that most people found it the easiest to do without. After all, most Jamaicans can cook and with the high cost associated with eating out it made perfect sense to cut out that expense.

I must admit that I missed the guilty pleasure of having my meals prepared and served in a relaxing atmosphere. So it is with great excitement that I count the days until Restaurant Week 2011.

This year the Gleaner sponsered event will be on November 11- 19, 2011.  Why am I so excited for this event?

Well, the reduced prices allow consumers to visit a wide variety of restaurants which are offering reduced menu options.
There are several plans to fit every budget, from the ‘Epicurean’ which costs $3800 to the ‘Nyam and Scram’ which offers sandwiches or wraps for as low as $280.

The restaurants will offer a pre-selected three course meal (appetizer, main course, dessert) and consumers will be able to experience a culinary delight that is sure to satisfy.  During Restaurant Week I will take pictures of my favourite spots to share with you my delicious journey.
Where will you be going?
