The ‘Super’ Survey

Author : teriann

Did you know that the Consumer Affairs Commission (C.A.C) can help you with finding deals? How? By conducting and publishing the results of surveys of several items sold at supermarkets in the Corporate Area and St. Ann.

The most current results can be found in sections C of The Gleaner dated January 12,2012.

The selected items range from corned beef to detergent and are separated into various brands. There is a colour coded system so consumers can easily identify those supermarkets that sell the selected items at the lowest price and those that sell it at the highest price.

When preparing for a shopping trip why not utilize the information from the survey to save money? Some of the items differ only slightly but every dollar adds up at the cash register.

The extra time and effort will certainly pay off! So will you use the C.A.C’s published survey results? I know I will!

  1. I agree it would be helpful for consumers and buyers to have this survey it serves as a guide for them to select commodities of the right price or at lower price especially for the budget consumers.
