A lot has happened and even more will be happening in a week or two.The tempestuous seas have lost track of the wind and as such, the Independence of Speed race meet is now being appreciated for what it was and even more so, for what it represents. It was indeed a prodigous affair, which presents a rather riveting prospect.
As consultant/technical advisor (to Doug ‘Hollywood’ Gore) Peter Moodie Jr predicted, the ex-DTM Audi TT-R defeated David Summerbell’s TA1. From a fan’s standpoint, one who is chest deep in the flora which inhabits Dover’s semi-natural forest, it couldn’t be better. It is abundantly clear, that extraordinary days, pregnant with spine-tingling episodes, will form a part of the not too distant future. I anticipate that excitement will be generously disbursed, like funds during a political campaign! In abrupt terms, the War of the Worlds has begun and we will be on the receiving end of limitless bouts of adrenalin!

I had the good fortune of settling in and absorbing most of the MotoGP in the Czech Republic. My thoughts on the exploits of those fearless gladiators, aboard their 800cc, 250hp canyon carvers at that event, are still imprisoned in the mental institution, indivduals spend 7 or more years training for, to identify as my brain!
The NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Watkins Glen,a road-course, was a must watch. So I watched. The jostling V8s’ bruised and bent their competing panels and as their mechancal components failed (in particular brakes) and drivers’ ambitions breached the asphalt, frightening,dramatic,metal-disfiguring accidents flowed unabated, like compliments from lying lips! The race was Devon House ice-cream good and as first time Sprint Cup winner, Australian Marcos Ambrose did his celebratory donuts, I couldn’t help but wish that NASCAR had more road courses.
F1 is on the calendar for this month and Team Jamaica will be contesting Round 2 of the CMRC in Barbados in a bit. That blog is currently before a parole officer and should be out in a few days. So where are we now?
There are times when I find something that is so incredibly good – it is as if it sparkles with an inherent brilliance. I crashed into these 3 videos while pursuing my ‘dun di internet’ project. And if you are like me, a slave, to the melodious, intoxicating assault, race-motors are often accused of, you will thank me for this. If you aren’t (like me), your brain is in worse state than mine!
If I have failed -tell me.If you have heard better- share!
