I consider myself a rational person. I am not delusional. I am no Picasso or any other painter held in high regard, but I am going to paint a picture nonetheless depicting a motorsports personality.

This individual started competing at age 4. His first win came at age 9, but between age 9 and 14, he won a total of 70 state titles! When he was 12 years old, during a race weekend, he competed in 35 races, in different categories. He won 32 of the 35 races and claimed all of the 5 titles that were up for grabs! The picture which should be emerging is of someone who has an intimate relationship with success.

Casey Stoner

The paragraph above, is a brief extract from Casey Stoner’s accomplishments in his tender years. A rocket science degree is not required to comprehend natural talent, skill or ability when it is glaringly evident and as such, Casey Stoner’s prowess aboard a motorcycle was more obvious than a caucasian at a Black Panther meeting!

Casey Stoner rode into the premier series – MotoGP – in 2006 and by the end of the 2007 season he was wearing the champion’s crown. He won the title in 2007. Unfortunately, his title defense fell flat in 2008, stomach issues aborted his mission in 2009 and in 2010, his Ducati was simply not up to the task of posing a realistic threat to the P1-addicted Yamahas (ridden by Rossi or Lorenzo).

A new contract for the 2011 season with Repsol Honda, signaled that hope was on the horizon. A fool may be comforted by a single promise. Motorsports fans demand more. They (fans) accept and are only inspired by victory. The season thus far, possibly has his fans thinking that they are witnessing the astounding. Adoration for their rider, Stoner, should be at an all time high.

Casey Stoner has won 6 out of the 11 races thus far and he currently leads the championship by 32 points, distancing himself somewhat from defending champion Jorge Lorenzo. There are 7 rounds remaining. Are you a betting man? Casey Stoner and the rest of the MotoGP squad ride into the USA this weekend for the Red Bull Indianapolis GP. His (Stoner’s) opponents will need all the wings they can get!
