Rally Jamaica 2011 – Sean Gill’s Suzuki SX4 WRC

Author : cmunroe

Jamaican rally fans are a bit distressed, because the coveted Rally Jamaica trophy has decided that it wants to explore new destinations. With a view to satisfy the trophy’s wishes, visiting drivers and navigators fought tirelessly to replace their dream of victory with the reality of P1 on Sunday afternoon!

There are persons who suggest that WRC machines will lead to the sport dying a natural death. But, if what unfolded at the Downtown Stage is any indicator of the health of the sport, I would not worry.

Sean Gill’s machine.

Lever with red knob = FUN!

What do you notice about the middle pedal?

The heart of the Suzuki SX4.

The perennial symbiotic relationship – Race-car and tow-truck.

If given a choice, which of these two machines would you prefer to see at Rally Jamaica – a shade-tree built rally car or a Prodrive massaged WRC STI? WRC! WRC! WRC!
