Circuit Racing: An eventful day at Dover (Sunday-27th )

Author : cmunroe

Saturday’s qualifying activities built the stage for the dramatic climax expected on Sunday. When I got to the track, a few ticks after 11am the loose lips told exciting tales of what had transpired prior to my arrival. Apparently a trend was agreed by all competitors in the drivers meeting, where they swore to keep fans on their feet and facilitate the -  screaming their lungs out – process!

The first race I saw involved the mega-battle between Alan Chen and defending drivers champion, Kyle Gregg. It was an eventful day but I will have more on that in the follow-up blog. Today I will be brief.

A book should be written about the driver of this car. He has nothing more to prove in my book – David Summerbell Jr – The greatest circuit racing driver we have produced to date!

Things went horribly wrong for Doug ‘Hollywood‘ Gore, but I am positive he will be back, fighting like a threatened lion!

Peter Rae – his machine appears a tad bit faster – or am I being deceived. Are we witnessing Peter Rae’s return?

A lot will be said about the Caribbean Invasion, the discourse and the debates will only gain momentum in the coming days. I will keep my opinions for the moment but I ask you to share yours – What do you think about the Doug Gore incident (accident)? If you had to assign blame – Who would you blame and why?
