Formula1: Lewis Hamilton ditches McLaren and jumps in the Mercedes!

This is simply too hot to handle. Of all the places to hear this earth-shattering news – Zip FM – was my source. Number 3 on my less than adequate car stereo, selects Zip Fm and thanks to one of their brief information inserts, I was informed that Lewis Hamilton severed the attachment and chose to take his craft elsewhere.

I have heard it said that he was being ‘sabotaged’ at McLaren, a theory I was not willing to accept. But what is irrefutable, now that the birds have fled the cage, is this, Lewis was obviously of the view that his interests will be better served elsewhere.

Lewis Hamilton is no stranger to Mercedes though and I am certain Ross Brawn and the team will do whatever is necessary to ensure that the most exciting and daring driver on the grid, is given the tools and the atmosphere, to do what he excels at – win races!

The 2013 season is half -year away but, I will pose the questions here and now – What do you think about Lewis’ move to Mercedes? Do you think his chances of winning the 2013 championship will receive a boost now that he will be with Mercedes?
