Circuit Racing: My AE86 lives!

Author : cmunroe

Welcome everyone to this my first motorsports blog for 2013. I was never good on resolutions so I have learnt not to make many. There are myriad things I wish to own, attempt and accomplish but, bearing in mind that I have not yet ascertained the elusive secret to lotto ticket success, my goals for the time being are temporarily sidelined!

However, there are some goals that have maintained their realistic hue and as such they can be pursued with, according to my ‘white’ brothers, reckless abandon! Embarrassed to admit, but honesty has a habit of lightening one’s load – the last installment of the AE86  Build revealed itself to the 3w’s audience (www.) in Feb. 2012. Almost a year, but the shower of rain bringing renewed hope to the drought stricken fields of my circuit racing ambitions is not on its way – it is here! So here goes.

The AE86 has had enough ups and downs to certify its status as a roller coaster! But, as I said from the onset of this build, I was trained in the fine art of patience and as such, not even a C4 packed room with the detonator in the clutches of a creeping toddler could destabilize my demeanor. I am in it for the long haul even if a tow truck is required to assist with the hauling!

The AE86 in transition.

A lot has happened since Feb. 2012 and in what is still the motorsports off-season, here and abroad, I will submit what has been completed thus far and reveal how close or how far we are from ripping up the track with the little 1600 monster! Stay tuned!
