The machine was getting closer to the point where it would fulfillĀ its mandate – track-duty!
It was my view, however, that the interior of the machine was in dire need of a makeover. So, despite the bruising economic reality and my financially deflated state, I weathered the have-no-money storm and released the ‘spray-man’ on the machine.

After surgery, everything comes to life! I decided to keep the blue look and introduce some gold in the mix. Do you notice the lovely shattered appearance of the windscreen? And the seat – an eyesore that was definitely addressed (next blog).

The visual improvement adds 5 hp!
At this stage, I was pleased with the pace at which things were moving along. The seat and the belts were next in line.
