Drag Racing: Test and Tune at Vernam’ this Sunday!

Author : cmunroe

The NDRC’s Drag Challenge #1 did not deliver the quality product fans were expecting when the mega-horsepower machines abused the holy concrete at Vernamfield in July. Administrative and other blunders led to myriad glitches which flung a connecting rod into the day’s proceedings.

But, somewhere in the chaos, one gigantic fact could be heard screaming above the therapeutic note of the boost-fed motors – drag racers and their addicted to C16 fans, are yearning for action! The fans came out in packs, like wolves after a hunger strike! The overwhelming support was undeniable. So, like an astute businessman, the NDRC attempted damage control and requested suggestions and comments re-moving forward. Hopefully, the organisation absorbed all that was suggested and the errors of the past will remain there (in the past).

The first test, after July’s anticlimax,  for both drag racers and NDRC administrators, is only hours away. Test and Tune, gentlemen, ladies and other interested members of the family, will slam the gas tomorrow (Sunday, Oct.6th) at Vernamfield. It is just a test, but it has significant implications for what will unfold at NDRC’s Drag Challenge # 2, which will raid the ‘Christmas Tree’ next Sunday, at the same venue.

So, Test and Tune is tomorrow! And in this case, you are allowed to bring both your machine and your queen! See you there!
