ROSBERG IS ALIVE!

Author : cmunroe

Lewis Hamilton is my type of driver. He is willing to reverse any deficit inorder to claim victory. Give him an inch, that is all he needs to blast by a reluctant competitor and force the commentators to search for appropriate descriptive terms to convey the magical display he presented! When other drivers struggle to overtake, Hamilton does it with reckless abandon, when he finds himself wrapped in the lesser points-paying positions. My type of driver!

But, my rant today addresses Hamilton’s teammate – Rosberg. Rosberg is the Great German Hope and the pressure for him to claim a World Championship is even greater now that maestro – Michael Schumacher – has exited, permanently, Formula 1′s main stage. Get well soon Schumi!

Rosberg was destined for greatness at Mercedes AMG Petronas. Lewis Hamilton’s arrival at Mercedes stirred the pot like an industrious soup vendor at the National Stadium! Rosberg fell victim to Lewis the Ripper and he (Rosberg) was forced to watch his teammate run away with the silverware. Rosberg’s mental durability was tested severely in 2014. Several lines of weaknesses appeared in his armor and unfortunately, his complaints, during the early Rounds of 2015 indicated that not much has changed.

Hamilton

There is always room for change, however, and in Barcelona, the real Rosberg stood up! Hamilton has emerged as a sure bet. Rosberg did the introspection required and decided to derail Lewis’ runaway victory-train. The practice sessions (Spain GP) started writing on the wall – he was quickest of the lot. And despite his best efforts, Hamilton could not prevent Rosberg from claiming pole.

Vanishing red lights, when the race began, gave Rosberg a brilliantly glowing green light! He did not require motivation. He left the line like a catapulted stone chasing a wounded pigeon! Lewis Hamilton choked, temporarily paralyzed by imperfections within his machine (clutch) and he was attacked by the chasing vulture- Vettel!

Rosberg read his prepared script and delivered an Oscar-worthy performance. He was untouchable, a flawless performance which brought victory on a platter. At the GP in Barcelona it became evident that Rosberg is alive and I am thankful. Hamilton has to watch his back!

Incidentally, when Rosberg suggested that he was experiencing difficulties when he was trapped behind Lewis, he was scoffed at. Did we think there was merit in his complaint? At Barcelona, the shoe was on the other foot. Lewis was trapped behind a slower machine and despite being my type of driver – he simply could not blast by in the typical, forceful, Lewis-fashion! The explanation is no mystery, but when Rosberg complained we thought he was weak! Jackass seh the world no level!

At the next Round – Monaco – Rosberg will be at a circuit that gives him home-court advantage and he has a tradition  of success at Monaco as well. With 5 Rounds in the bag, Lewis is leading 3-1 (Vettel stole 1). Will the real Rosberg appear in Monaco?
