Formula 1: Hamilton triumphant at Suzuka!

After their miserable ordeal in Singapore, Mercedes AMG was carrying a market-truck’s load of pressure! But success at this level is not achieved by chance and at Suzuka, Mercedes made it emphatically clear that their dominance will be stoutly defended.

Reigning World Champion and surely, Mercedes’ lead driver, Lewis Hamilton, silenced Rosberg’s first corner protest and drove away. Rosberg could only hope for second-best and had to shun Vettel’s challenge.

Hamilton led the charge and took his reward. Back to back wins at Suzuka, 41 victories, inching closer to legend status and a 48 points gap ahead of his team-mate in the championship!

Mercedes answered their critics with a commanding performance, 1-2 at Suzuka! On the podium it was evident that Hamilton was pleased with himself while Rosberg was obviously subdued but respectful. Vettel was delighted to be on the podium and adopted a waiter’s stance – pouring champagne on an elated Lewis Hamilton.

When Hamilton is in this mood and aboard the best machine on the grid, his successful title defense is a foregone conclusion!
