MotoGP: Lorenzo strikes back!

The 2015 edition of the MotoGP World Chamiponship has more twists and turns than Fern Gully! Marc Marquez’ roller coaster season has led to the World Champion’s trophy being directed to seek a spot in the Yamaha camp!

But the Yamaha-boys, Rossi and Lorenzo are willing to duel to the bitter end. The realization that they are the main protagonists have stimulated stellar rides from both warriors and we are happy.

Lorenzo dropped the baton, in treacherous conditions, at the last round in Italy. Rossi fought the elements and was robbed of victory by a wily Marquez. But the points Rossi hauled in were invaluable, considering that Lorenzo crashed out.

Aragon saw a different Lorenzo. He was back. He was super-fast and he was consistent. He continued that trend in the race. He got one of his traditional fast-out-the gate starts and began merging corners and straights! Marquez got too eager, too soon and ate asphalt while chasing Lorenzo.

Rossi’s pace quickened after Marquez crashed but he was nowhere near Lorenzo. And to add insult to injury he had to fight Pedrosa. Pedrosa rode as if he was trying to settle his contract negotiation! Rossi emptied his bag of tricks trying to pass him but Pedrosa held his nerve, rejected Rossi’s bully tactics and rode to P2. Brilliant ride.

The glory was at P1 though and at Aragon, Lorenzo was supreme. He claimed victory, comfortably and served notice that the fight will continue! The gap narrows. Rossi maintains a slim lead and has work to do if he wants that 10th title.

Who will win the next round?
